A new stage for Brodie

In the past few days Brodie has really started talking more than ever. He is starting to try to repeat things that I say. Just yesterday he said 4 new words. He said night night, pool, snack, and bear (while pointing to a picture of a bear). It is so amazing how he has started doing things out of nowhere. The best part about this for me is that he is saying these things on his own. I am not asking him "say snack" or "say bear". I just say the word and he repeats me. I love it. I can talk all day anyway but I could really talk all day to Brodie when he says things back.

It is funny because when he was crawling but not walking I kept saying I could not wait for him to walk. People were always telling me to watch what I wish for because once he walked it would be impossible for me to keep up with him. I personally think it made life easier since I don't have to carry him everywhere now. At this stage of him starting to talk people are doing the same thing and telling me to watch it because the next thing I know he will be smarting off and talking back. I say bring it on. I just want him to talk, talk, talk. Again I think it will make life easier because it is hard to communicate with grunts.

We are having a blast with him. We can't wait for our trip to Florida. He has changed so much since my family saw him last. Videos and pictures just don't show how wonderful it is. He starts parents day out next week. He will be going on Tues and Thurs. I am so excited for him. He gets to move to the next room and not be in the baby room anymore. He will get to go to the playground and learn to nap on a mat. He has to bring his bible with him and will get to do all kinds of fun arts and crafts. I am thrilled at the thought of how much he is going to learn and progress just from now until his birthday. I am not rushing it but I just love to watch him turn into his own little person.

One more thing...we are trying for baby #2. It is no secret so I know Chad would not mind me saying this here. Please say a prayer for us that it will be as easy to get pregnant this time as it was with Brodie. I can't find words to tell you how much I am looking forward to this for me and my boys. We are ready to add another little Davis to the bunch.

Ok, Brodie and I are headed out to walk around the outdoor mall. The weather is nice and we need fresh air.
Love to everyone and we are always thinking of all of you!!
Brodie is waving bye bye to the computer. So darn cute!
